Human Landscapes

This shot is along the same line as the collar bone shot from a few months back. I am planning on continuing it as a series. Everything will be very abstract and a lot more fine art than commercial. This was shot right against the side of my face, shooting up towards my eye.

New Portrait

Planet Charlotte

This is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time. I love taking landscapes and panoramas, and turning them into little planets. I'm still working on getting the techniques down right tho. This was the panorama that I took for class last year. I tweaked it until the edges would line up and turned it into a little world :)

Dragonfly Noms

Some of you may remember the Dragonfly post from a few months back. I was looking through a lot of my images and I saw this sequence, and I thought it would be amusing to make it into a stop motion. Honestly, I find it hilarious. Disgusting... but hilarious. It's only one second, but I still appreciate it. For a better quality click HERE.

Behind the Scenes :: Kids, Food and Fashion

I am currently on my second internship and I am working with the amazingly talented Norma Lopez Molina. While working with her, whenever we go on a photo shoot, I take my camera and take behind the scenes (bts) images for my blog and for her. This is sort of a combined post of some of the bts from a shoot for a children's catalogue, a food shoot, and from Miami Fashion week.

Don't get me wrong, I love kids. Kids, however, don't always do what they're told, especially when there are about 5 of them running around and playing with each other. Norma was very patient, and she worked with each kid's hyperness to get the shots that she wanted. The shoot went really good. Plus there was a dog that kept walking through the set, so that was cute. The top image is Norma being goofy, and the bottom was just me messing around with some camera settings.

These images are from a food shoot for a restaurant in a hotel in Orlando. The shoot was fabulous, and the best part? We got to eat all of the food when we were done. DELICIOUS! I had some fun with the toning on the top one, and the bottom is a before and after of our table.

These last ones are from Miami Fashion week. I would have had more, but everything was very chaotic and, there was an extreme lack of communication. Basically, I wasn't able to photograph the show with Norma like I was supposed to, so I got to sit in the back room with the equipment for the two hour show. The good news is that I did get to go look around the booths that they had. Plus Norma was taking individual shots of each of the outfits for one of the designers, so I at least got to see those. The bottom was just some fun that I had. I wanted to focus on the model's hands. It isn't all of the outfits, but they're the ones that I got.

BE :: Maybelline Color Tattoo

For a majority of our grade in Chucks class we were partnered up with a graphic design student, and had to come up with a campaign for a product or service. I got to work with the fabulously talented Courtney Bortree. We decided to use Maybelline's Color Tattoo eye shadow. For the campaign we came up with the tag line BE. The project required us to have 3 different types of media plus a 15 second commercial that you can view here. The first 8 images are an 8 page booklet, like one that would go in a magazine. The last two are a magazine ad and a poster (in that order). I was in charge of the photography/video, and the post processing. Courtney was in charge of the layout and design. It was great working with her and I'm very happy with how it turned out. A big thanks to Chelsea Sullivan and Jamie Hayden for modeling!
